In this month's Meet the Zauian, we catch up with Yana Grokhalskaya, our HR lead.
Yana is responsible for bringing in all of the incredible people at Zaui. She is focused on building and maintaining Zaui culture that’s collaborative, inclusive, and diverse. Yana always ensures that new hires have all the resources to begin their journey with Zaui.
And outside work, she enjoys travelling. She has so far travelled to 15 countries!✈️
What led you to a career in Human Resources?
People are the main company asset. I was always interested in designing a powerful culture, which unites employees, clients, and partners.
How does Zaui help new hires adapt to the new environment?
I truly believe that support, clarity and transparency help employees adapt to the new environment.
What does your typical workday look like?
Well, it depends… usually, it includes meeting with the leadership team, team members, working on projects, and scheduling interviews.
What do you like best about your job?
Helping people find solutions is my favourite part of the job. Receiving open feedback from my team always encourages and motivates me.
What makes you feel alive and excited?
I am a big fan of travelling. I have visited almost 15 countries so far. Some of them are Australia, China, South Korea, Cyprus, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland, Thailand, and Vietnam. My next big goal is Singapore!
What’s the most common question people ask you when they find out what you do?
"What does HR actually do?"
What do you do to turn things around when you’re having a bad day?
The best solution is to talk to someone, it could be your friend, family or psychologist.
What advice would you give to new Zauians in their first month?
Do everything step by step, do not worry too much and enjoy the learning process.

No. Zaui does not charge its commission on offline/manual bookings. “No fees on offline bookings” You only pay the commission when a booking is processed online through our system. Manual reservations (or bookings from partner channels we set up for you) incur no extra platform fee. (30% or less)

We believe in value and transparency: Zaui provides over 15 advanced features (Google Things to do, reporting tools, marketing tools, reports, etc.) at no additional cost. Many competitors charge extra or require higher plans for the same features, but with Zaui you get the full suite of tools in one package. Any optional add-ons (if any) will always be clearly listed and optional there are no surprise paid upgrades for standard features.
