This week, we catch up with Michael Efange Peter, Customer Onboarding Specialist.
The seamless onboarding process is the first step for our customers toward the Zaui experience, and Michael plays a crucial role in the process, making the transition to the reservation system easy and fun for them.

What is the most exciting part of being a Customer Onboarding Specialist at Zaui?
The main aspect that gets me excited about the role is that I can connect with different clients around the world and custom tailor different setups based on the client's business operations, so it's always a new task every time!
About the onboarding process, what's one thing you do to establish strong relationships with your customers from the start?
Building a good relationship with the customers is very important for me. So, whenever I have the first meeting with them, in the first 10 minutes, we talk about their week and day-to-day life to see what they've been up to outside of work.
I ensure to document this in my mind, and a few weeks into our onboarding process, I would check up on them on that specific detail they told me. This usually comes up as a surprise to them, and they appreciate that I'm connecting with them.
What’s a typical day for you as an onboarding specialist at Zaui?
Usually, going through all the emails from clients and setting up meetings with them in the morning. Followed by afternoon configurations for client setup, follow-ups with team members, and last-minute checks on clients' usage.

Your happiest moments at Zaui
The happiest moments would be when we have Zaui get-togethers outside the office; it allows me to understand better the people I work with and establish a great sense of connection with them.
What helps you feel connected to your coworkers while working remotely?
With some of my coworkers, we meet after work and have events together, so coming together to spend time and do activities that don't focus on work allows us to build bonds on things we enjoy. Sometimes, sending the occasional relatable memes on Instagram or TikTok also creates a better connection.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I do photography or videography… making videos of the city, people, or sites to either build on peoples' brands or just to provide an outlet for creative work.
Who would you choose if you could trade places with anyone for a day?
Myself in 5 years!
What do you do to turn things around when you’re having a bad day?
I meditate and go through the list of things I’m grateful for in life. Gratitude can help put things into perspective. I have a vision board and a journal as well to document my moods and ideas, which helps with identifying patterns of my behavior.

What advice would you give to new Zauians in their first month?
Ability is what you’re capable of doing, Attitude determines how well you do it.

We believe in value and transparency: Zaui provides over 15 advanced features (Google Things to do, reporting tools, marketing tools, reports, etc.) at no additional cost.
