Whats new this week

The Zaui development team has been busy working on new features for this weeks deployment.

Added features to the software include a prompt to notify your employees that a voucher is required for this company from your guests. To activate this feature, go to System Settings tab, then Manage Commision Rate codes and in the menu on the left click on List Companies. Find the company to which you wish to apply this field and turn it on.

Our development team at Zaui has also added a new threshold time on individual activities. Currently you can set up a threshold time through your internet portal for all activities. You will now notice that within the Activity itself a new field has been added called Activity Online booking threshold time Setting a time in the field will overide the default time you have set within your internet portal.

A new report has also been added to our extensive list. For those customers that need to keep track of whom was on a particular activity and who no showed. Then this report is for you. In the Reports tab go to Operations and locate a report called Checked-in No Shows

Mobile Self-Service for Zaui Customers

The redesigned mobile customer portal interface is here to help you give Zaui customers better self-service no matter where they are! The new portal interface is available right now; all you need to do to see it is launch your mobile browser and type in your support page URL.

Self-service communities are important because they encourage our Zaui customers to find information and answers to their questions on their own and keep them engaged with us and one another. According to recent research by Forrester, 72% of customers prefer self-service to resolve their support issues over picking up the phone or sending an email. With Zendesk’s mobile customer support portal, customers can easily browse knowledge bases and community forum content or submit a ticket while on the go.

New Package Features and Reports

Our latest update at Zaui now allows you to take different point to point components and package them into one item.

You can now package a specific departure schedule with a corresponding connection at a singular price.  For example you may offer a 6am departure from Point A (City of Vancouver) to Point B (City of Victoria) and package it with the services of another transportation company which would offer a corresponding connection for Point B (City of Victoria) to Point C (Seattle).

The team at Zaui has also made changes in the way you build your package price. As you define your price code (for example $100.00), and you add elements to your package such as  a component from Point A (city of Vancouver) to Point B (City of Victoria) and price it at $60.00, Zaui software will automatically notify you that you will need to price the second package component Point B (City of Victoria) to Point C (Seattle) at a price of $40.00.

Wait there is more!  Our team has also added 2 new reports.  These new reports can be located in the Reports tab – Operations menu.  The first report is named Guides Assigned or Guides Unassigned.  This report will allow you to determine if you have any guides assigned to a particular activity or unassigned on a particular date range.  The second report can be located in the Reports tab – Activities menu and is namedSummary Capacity/Inventory Booked.  This report displays your activities for a particular date and identifies your Capacity that you have assigned, How many bookings you currently have, and how many spaces remain available.  The report will also display any equipment and driver(s) that are assigned to that particular activity.

New Features in August

The team at Zaui is pleased to announce it’s latest feature which now gives the flexibility of incorporating different payment gateway options.  This feature is particularly exciting if you are currently transitioning from one payment gateway company to another.  By keeping your old payment gateway account active you also benefit from being able to process refunds to customers who transacted under your old information.  Be sure to visit our support page for more information on this feature http://support.zaui.com/entries/21806103-2-17-manage-your-payment-gateways   For customers using PayFlow please review the following link here We do not expect any potential outage as we do not use hard coded IP’s

Another new and exciting feature that our team has incorporated into the system is to have the ability to view your activities in a calendar view.  In the upper right hand side of your dashboard simply type the name of your activity and then from the drop down menu select “Activity Name” and press “Go”  Your screen will then show your requested activity in a calendar view allowing you to review the entire month:

  • How many people have booked your activity
  • Your availability
  • Your current capacity
  • And show you how many guides you have assigned to that acitivity on a particular day.

Card Holder Present Credit Card Transactions

Card Holder Present Credit Card TransactionsOur latest update at Zaui software, now includes the ability to attach credit card swipers to the website portal and/or back end of our software.

What does this mean exactly? If you have various wholesalers or commissioned agents that have the ability to swipe cards at the time of the transaction (such as a hotel concierge or a travel agency) you can configure your system to allow for a credit card swiper. Allowing for this process makes it easier for remote sales as well as being more secure.  This is an effective way to reduce the potential for online fraud and/or charge backs on transactions where credit cards have been manually keyed into your online web portal.

What are the benefits? Typically banks will offer lower transaction rates for “card present”  versus “card not present” transactions.  Suppose your current negotiated rate for each transaction was 2.25% blended for a card not present account.  Your bank may offer a lower rate for all transactions that were conducted through a credit card swiper of a couple percentages basis, we will assume that your bank offered a rate of 1.85%, your savings on each transaction equates to .40%, these are direct savings to you, on a annual revenue of $500 000. Your savings would equate to $2000.00 just by having this configured.

Please note that in addition the configuration changes that need to take place in your Zaui system, you will also need to contact your merchant bank and have your account established as a “Retailer account”  This is currently only available through Authorize.net
